Have any of you actually tried "kosher" wine, and is it in any way different that regular wine? I understand the differentiator and keep seeing news about its growth, but I don't' really know if it's worth going and buying a bottle to try when I don't eat kosher myself.

like it seems the exact same as regular wine to me
There are different types of Kosher wine. The main difference being Mevushal wine versus regular Kosher. Mevushal wine has been flash pasteurized, which means it maintains its status as Kosher even when served by someone who does not keep Kosher. These are the wines that would be served at restaurants and events like weddings. Regular Kosher wines are the same as standard wine, but production is overseen by a Rabbi. There are separate bottling lines, and no human work is done on the Sabbath. Royal Wine has relationships with many well-known wineries and produces separate Kosher certified bottlings of their wines, including a bunch of classified growths from Bordeaux.
