Anyone have ideas for what to add between the chair and the doorway? Just … a table? I’m not into fake plants and I don’t think there’s enough light for a live plant (plus, I’ll just forget to water it and then it’ll be a dead plant). Should I be thinking about reworking the photo collage and adding something vertical there? If so, what vertical thing would I add?

Also no offense but I hate your rug and it ruins the room…
Get rid of that TV console table or put it behind the couch for plants. It’s so unnecessary since we don’t have DVD players and other accessories these days. Maybe move one of the gray chairs to the TV wall. Or put the couch under the frame collage. Not every piece of furniture should be centered around the TV.
