Do we love or hate the bed (+ other questions!)

I’m in my mid 30s. I have a >100 year old house with lots of original character and wanted a vintage bed with some personality. My partner hates it. I think it could work if I make other changes to the room. I just painted it blue and love the color so please don’t suggest painting the walls! I need help picking curtain colors (current curtains are temporary), duvet colors/styles, what else do I need in here? Hope to add some vintage nightstands. Let me know what else you think!

    I like it but I don’t like it for this room – it feels too cramped for a four poster (or whatever you call this). Does your partner live with you?

    Would changing the location of the bed help? It looks too big for the room in those photos. Can you put the head of the bed on the wall on the right?

    Like the bed HATE position. Could the bed go against a wall?

    Can you put the dresser in between the windows and then put the bed on the wall opposite where the dresser currently is?
