Domaine Lajibe Marcel 2023.

WOW. I have no words. Or maybe just a few: first glass was zippy and linear. High acidity. Citrus driven but heaps of minerality. Lemon, grapefruit, mirabelle, with a mineral, linestoney backbone. With time it fattened up. Vanilla, waxy sensations, and almonds grow on it as the time ticks. It’s like a Bourgogne chard on steroids. Is this a spiritual awakening?? I’m speechless in my chair…

The Chateau Musar from 18 and the Leoville Barton 95 were great, but honestly stuck in the shadow of the Lajibe.

I haven’t had this kind of experience since … i can’t even remember. Mind blown, game changed forever
