I am a fairly amateur wine appreciator. Bought this at a local shop for $12.99. The store has a bit of a disheveled vibe so I wouldn’t be surprised if wines sit around for a while, get lost, get rediscovered, etc. Point being, they have a very eclectic selection.

If I see an Italian variety I’ve never heard of,

I buy it. I’d never heard of this one. 2012 vintage as you can see. Had a very aged color—light brown/orange (“tawny”?). Cork was in pretty rough shape. I would describe the flavor a dessert-forward—not sweet (at all), but reminded me of dessert spices with maybe a little almond going on too. I thought it was extremely delicious.

Has anyone tried this one? Or another Teroldego?
