In what way? Like get rid of/keep them? Paint/stain them?

The decorative items skew all beige, grey, blue(?), metals and ceramic and glass. Which creates visual flatness and robs the room of its โ€˜wowโ€™. Additionally the pieces all feel very generic – very Home Sense meets Target. The artwork is colorful but again feels very generic.

Whatโ€™s missing for me is โ€œwho lives here?โ€

What do you like? What are your interests? Where have you traveled? What do you like to read? Whatโ€™s your favourite colour?

The room is definitely put together with some care and expense – that shows – but thereโ€™s no spark of personality or individuality. Except for the family photos.

Think of your space being a reflection of the people who live in it and how they use it. Then introduce piece by piece those elements that make a house a home.

All those things look nice. Do you not like it? The way I get things for the house is going to the antique mall and art fairs. I find so much cool stuff I end up rotating it or giving it to goodwill lol. I like your decor. Itโ€™s warm and also uncluttered. I like plants so I would put more plants around the TV so I can look at the plants and TV. Decorate with stuff you like to look at.
