My back garage door is awkwardly slanted and opens into my living room. I’ve really been stuck on how to make a functional yet not too out of place drop zone between the door and tv.
Whatever I put there can be seen directly from my front door foyer so I want it to be nice because it’ll be the first thing guests see.
I thought of a floating shelf with a mirror or shoe cabinet with a mirror or art but idk it that looks out of place next to the tv stand (mocked up in 3rd pic).

Why not add a drop zone in the hallway instead? Is there a stretch of wall in the hallway without a door?
I have a IKEA wall mounted shoe cabinet that is slim enough to put in the hallway. Added a drop dish, little lamp and mirror on the wall above it.

This is the example from IKEA
I think a simple pair of small matching bookcases on each side of the TV would look most balanced. And you can use the top of one as a drop zone inside the garage door.
