Hi everyone not sure if this is the best place to post this but I just bought this place and will be moving in this weekend. As the title says, I’m not sure where to put the TV. Hoping to find a layout that doesn’t make the room feel smaller. Taking suggestions for furniture layout and TV placement!

Any chance you could draw out a floor plan to scale? Would help a lot in deciding where things could go and still allow paths to travel through the space!
The aerial view helps – a few general rules that work in most spaces:
TV placement tends to work best on the wall opposite from where you’d naturally sit down first. Usually that means identifying the “entry axis” of the room (where your eye goes when you walk in) and placing seating on that wall, TV opposite.
Avoid walls with windows behind them if possible – the backlight from daylight creates terrible glare and makes dark scenes unwatchable at night. If that’s unavoidable, blackout curtains or a room-darkening shade help a lot.
For sizing/distance: comfortable viewing is roughly 1.5-2x the screen diagonal. So if you have a 65″ TV, you want seating about 8-11 feet away. Working that math into your layout before committing to furniture placement saves a lot of headaches.
