Got this as a gift, and just to be upfront, I usually roll zero dosage, Blanc de Blancs, récoltant-manipulant stuff, so this is not my lane, but… Hey, you drink what shows up! That said, this thing’s actually pretty legit. Nice salmon color, nose is all strawberries, citrus peel, a little spice, maybe some chalk/mineral in the background. Feels clean and well put together. Palate’s got good tension, red berries, grapefruit, a bit of creaminess, but still fresh with solid acidity. Doesn’t go flabby, which I was half expecting. Finish is long, slightly salty/mineral, kinda keeps you coming back. Yeah, 2017 wasn’t some dream vintage, but this overdelivers for what it is. Not trying to be edgy or hardcore, just balanced, polished, and easy to enjoy.
TL;DR: Not my usual vibe at all, but honestly I’d drink it again no problem! Quietly solid bottle.
