I really don’t understand the appeal of white kitchens. Cooking is messy. Kitchens have to be cleaned constantly. Why make it harder on yourself by making it a color that’s just *asking* to be stained?
The regular wood looks so much nicer.

I like the wood! I would update the handles and maybe the backsplash. We have painted kitchen cabinets and tbh all I see are the places where the paint is chipped and the dirt I need to wipe away.

Something to keep in mind is that in the white picture the window is larger so the room is better lit. Try to not let that affect your opinion! But I’m pretty bored of white at this point, I think the rich wood color looks really nice!

The wood is beautiful. But the painted cabinets brighten up the space. And I really love the look of dark countertops with white cabinets.

The wood is more homey. Reminds me of homes/kitchens in the 2010’s that were made for family time. I don’t know how to describe it. But everyone and their mamas has white kitchens and houses these days. It’s very bland and boring. The wood give it an earthy, homey, natural look. Very cozy.

I had dark cherry and loved it, but the brightness of the painted cabinets brightens the whole kitchen.

What about a light wood like white oak? That is more popular these days.

Love the wood. Don’t touch it. Straight white would look good. With those black countertops it’s a little dark. You could accent it with a little color on the trim/moulding. You could consider undercabinet lighting.
