I guess this is a flight per se and not a vertical

Decided to open a few young Mayacamas with a friend. great showcasing of the Mayacamas unique style.

Caramel, lemon grass, orange zest, lemongrass

More nutty then other bottles I've had, walnut, tangerine, earthy/herbal like a spa water, cedar, candied orange, Myer lemon tart on the tail end. Kept a glass in the corked bottle as an experiment. Drank it 24 hours after opening an it surprisingly held up well, more of the floral notes came out but it became a bit too tart. Not in a terrible way. Honestly given blind I would think it was a Sauvignon Blanc.

Black fruits blue berries, raspberries, leather, bit of black peppercorn

Fruit leather, leather, really bright tanins and great acidity very well balanced, over ripe black berries , cassis, elderberry, stewed plum, hints of dark chocolate, couldn't help myself from going back to the bottle, could easily hold up for 10 to 20 years.
