I have this piece I really like and got at a discount because of the tear in it. I have two pieces that are similar styles with the same tear in the same spot. Any ideas on how I should deal with it for framing purposes?
Do you know any artists, or anybody who is faintly artistic? They might be able to color the tear in so it is not so noticeable.
Also, you could cut off the bottom of the picture. Or, you could have matting cut that covers up the tear.
Good luck in whatever solution you come up with. I hope you enjoy your new art!

Try to tuck the tear pieces with no paint behind and the painted ones to the front. Then use a piece of acid free paper and glue to the back with a gentle glue. Then mat and frame.
