We bought a square unassuming colonial during Covid. We finally finished this room (pretty much). The framed hole is from a new renovation. The paint color was chosen to make the houseplants pop. The masks are from Australia,Bali,Africa , and Papua New Guinea. What’s the feedback?

I think this is a very happy room. I like the walls and decor a lot, but the floor doesn’t quite go with it so maybe some colorful rugs would help the floor blend in with the rest.

This space deserves more than a scroll-by. Bold color. Real character. Daring decorating. Plants that actually make the room feel alive … not staged, not sterile. Every piece here has intention, not just “filler decor.”

People are way too afraid of color now … everything’s beige or gray, safe, and forgettable. This right here breaks that mold. Kudos to you. This is what happens when you stop chasing trends and actually design for yourself.

This doesn’t look like a house … it looks like a curated art gallery you actually get to live in. And if this is just one corner, the rest of your home is probably next-level.

I’m wondering, if people are actually loving this, or does this make them uncomfortable because it’s not “neutral” enough? Probably a realtors nightmare. But who cares?
