This Japanese wine blew me buds out of the water. I over heard it was 90+% Pinot and the rest Zweigelt. Apparently 12 bottles made it to Colorado and I was lucky enough to have a pour. It was a beautiful wine.

On the nose it was expressive and elegant of red fruits but very floral and light light earthy notes. And the taste confirmed all of that complex mushroom, forest floor, rose petals, plums, rase/cranberries. Strong acid with dusty tannins and a lovely long finish. I did rate this as perfect but yeah definitely environment and rarity inflicted that. Super lucky I got to try.

I did include some bottle porn of others I had that night. Open to questions if any about the bottles as I tasted them all. I wish I captured a photo of the lady wine maker there with her 5 wines from Italy. Francesco Rinaldi was the label though.
