We gave our living room a major face lift about 6 years ago. It works for us/our family but when we have friends/extended family over, it just doesn’t feel inviting. You’ll see our front door is right there (no foyer) and our first floor, generally is an odd, late 90s Southwest layout.
We’re open to new couch/chairs. Want to keep the entertainment/bookcases (they’re custom).
Would a U-shaped sectional help? Different arrangement altogether??

I’m not sure how to keep your entertainment center, but I would mount the TV on the opposite wall where your mirror is and change out your sofa for a big sectional and let it take up that entire wall where your entertainment center currently is.
