Well this was a treat. Maybe it was the two other bottles that preceded it, but who knows? Initially a little disjointed on the nose, but with five minutes in the glass it just kept getting better. Fully into the tertiary stage, it was cedar and roses, Duane aptly named this wine, lyrical and harmonious….a concert indeed. Vivaldi would be proud. Pure and clean on the palate, with a nice beam of acidity and a certain sweetness of fruit that only comes from aged Cabernet. This is incredible stuff and considering it’s from a winemaker who was based in the Santa Cruz mountains, he also understood Napa fruit. Glad I have one more bottle, this has a few years of life to go.
