Hey everyone! I just moved into a new place and I am trying to figure out how to make the most of this narrow pull-out cabinet in my kitchen.
It is pretty slim, and I am a little worried about things toppling out since the side rails are so low. For those of you who have these, what do you usually store in them? I was thinking spices, but maybe there is a better use for it that I’m missing?
Also, I am super confused by the hooks/pegs at the very top. Are those meant for hanging specific utensils, or maybe oven mitts? Any advice on how to organize this or what those hooks are for would be much appreciated!

I’d probably keep my foil and parchment and Ziplocks in there
I’d store tins in there. They’re short and stocky, so unlikely to fall over.
We have this thing!! The top section is kids snacks. I use boxes to organize it (granola bar boxes with the top cut off, for example) and i can easily grab what I need for kid lunches, etc.
I put spices in the bottom rows. I label the tops with what they are so i can see then more easily. It’s not perfect but i have a small kitchen 🤷♀️
You could put canisters in the top shelf and store utensils, somewhat like the rev-a-shelf (those canisters are built in). Kitchen linens too.
I suppose it’s about where it is in the kitchen. If it’s right by the stove, then I think I’d fill it whit things I need while using the stove top. If it’s by the sink, then I’d fill it with dishwashing and cleaning supplies.
my parents have one of these at their home and they use it to store their spices (top) and baking products (bottom)
ooooo! a spice cabinet!
Ours was (previous home) more narrow and used as a spice rack.
I have one of these next to my stove! I drilled a couple big holes in the top shelf, adjusted it up higher, then dropped in some of those metal cups for flatware they sell at the restaurant supply store. I store spatulas and serving spoons in there.
The lower shelves hold stuff like the cheese grater and potato masher.
Great for storing jars of things.
I tried canned goods at first, but tough to see all the labels. Adjusted the shelves, added rubberized liners and use it for drink ware.
Spice rack, yo
