So I’m thinking about buying this type of canopy bed and I’m wondering what type of curtains would I need to buy for this bed? I never had a canopy bed before so I have no clue
I don’t believe thats a canopy bed, a canopy would have rails down the sides and across top and bottom to hang curtains from.

I think they call that a poster bed, they don’t typically have curtains because they’re more about the woodwork

If you are after a bed that you can have curtains on Perhaps look at more delicate campy/ fourposter types. Places like Wayfair, WestElm , Crate and Barrel. Even Etsy and Walmart!

It’s really pretty, but I agree with the other comments that this type of bed is not meant to have curtains anywhere. You could do a mosquito net set, remove the hoop and attach them to the bottom of the center of the actual canopy, but I don’t think it’s necessary. There’s so many pretty details and I think that would just take away from them.

This is a four poster bed. Honestly, the ones in the pictures are a bit too grandiose for most normal purposes. But there are some very nice vintage ones you can get that would look lovely in any room. I would do some serious antiquing to see what you can find.

You can’t really put curtains on THAT bed because the bars form an X over the bed. If you want a bed that has rails at the top of the posts to hang curtains from, I’d look for tab top or pocket curtains that are sheer and look the same from inside and outside.

That’s not a canopy bed but not a canopy bed at the same time. It’s not a canopy bed for the sole fact that it doesn’t have 4 rails to hang curtains from. It is a convoy bed because it has 4 rails.
