When I look at my room, I immediately think of a bunch of different pieces of furniture clashing against each other. Cheap, no color theme, no style, no aesthetic, no nothing. You can find the dimensions of my room in the last photo.

  • I can't hang or mount anything to the wall.
  • The flooring is a boring, gray tile. I was thinking of buying LVP or Peel & Stick but I don't know how long I'll be living here. I could get a giant rug though.
  • I actually love natural sunlight, but I live on the first floor and if I open the windows, anyone can simply see me sitting at my computer desk. Also, since there is a light-colored walled house right in front of my window, it reflects blinding light back into my face which makes it uncomfortable while sitting at my PC. I was thinking about buying 1-Way Privacy Film to use during the day so I can at least enjoy some natural light without people being able to see me.

Ideally, I'd have my TV mounted to the wall and speakers on actual stands. The PC on the floor is there just so I can transfer the remaining files off of it. I do eventually want a longer desk. Currently it is 55" my old desk was about 86". I actually wish my TV was up about 4-5 inches higher because I like to lay in bed with my knees up. If I do that currently, my knees block about 1/4 of the screen.

In terms of color themes, I personally like earthy colors like Beige.

My last place, the room was even smaller and the best layout was to have my bed against the closet as that gave me the most optimal layout for that space. I also don't really go into my closet that often other than to grab clothes.

I was thinking about pushing my bed all the way to the wall by the window and then sliding my TV under the AC and the putting my desk along side the other wall with the window close to the closet.

Any recommendations to refresh my room?

IKEA doesn't ship to me.
