We recently bought a house with giant floor-to-ceiling windows in the great room. We’d like to install some level of privacy to the room as it backs up onto a major thoroughfare.
Any suggestions on how to approach this? Do we need to purchase giant curtains (expensive!) or are there better solutions? If we do install curtains, does it make sense to only cover the bottom 3 windows, rather than all 4? We don’t want to obstruct too much of the view when the curtains are open during the day, so minimal bulk is ideal.
Any and all ideas are welcome!

Do large floor to ceiling curtains that push all the way to the wide. It will look better and actually be worth spending the money on.
You should Skip giant curtains—they’ll hide your beautiful windows.
Go for bottom-up shades or frosted film on just the lower panels. That way you get privacy from outside but still keep all the light and view up top.
Simple, clean, and way cheaper comparatively..
I think floor to ceiling wall to wall curtains 😌
