I'm looking to add two rugs to my living space that will be in somewhat close proximity (kitchen and living room are open space, but L shaped), and I don't want them to be perfect matches. Picture #1 is the rug that's definitely being purchased. So now I'm trying to decide between a richer color with a similar theme (green, picture #2) or similar colors with an adjacent theme (insects, picture #3).
Some notes:
– The insect rug is pretty similar to my doormat rug in both color and theme, which will also be nearby.
– I have both a dark and a light colored cat so no matter what I'm screwed with shedding, but they do specifically choose the singular small rug I currently have in my household to puke on, so I'll probably be cleaning the rug often.
– My living room has light pink accents
– The floor is an ashy brown
I like both but can't tell which two would go better together, or if neither combo really works, so opinions would be appreciated!
