Our living room is open plan with vaulted ceilings with a walkway through the middle and along the side the butts up against the huge countertop where the sink is.
What layout should I try to make it cozy for a family of 6. The front door cuts the living room in half leaving about 9.5' on each side, each with a large low window. We are absolutely ready to buy a new couch/couches I just don't know the best choice. We also have fires all winter but don't see how to incorporate the wood stove that's on the other size of the room PLUS the huge horseshoe kitchen counters are all right there too. Any suggestions would be so very much appreciated. Thank you!

Is it possible to change the direction the door opens? If you can direct traffic around the other way, you can move the furniture forward and have a separate tv watching area.
