I think an accent chair could totally work there, you just need the right scale. Look for something with slimmer arms and legs so it doesn’t feel bulky, and pull it slightly off the wall so it looks intentional. A small side table or floor lamp next to it would help make it feel like a cozy little zone instead of random extra furniture.

Yes an accent chair would work. You need to rotate that rug and slide couch away from window just a bit.

No it’s not! My living room is the same size. My sofa is the same size and I have not one but TWO IKEA ekenaset chairs and they create a great conversation space! Play with it and hopefully you’ll find a way to fit them. Yes, we can walk around behind the chairs but when we have company over we don’t really need to!
