Friday night Bordeaux 2nd wine from Chateau Mauvesin Barton.
Incredibly tight, oaky and slightly bitter on first opening. Just double decanted it and all that calmed down after half an hour.
Black fruit, cassis, black currant, plummy notes. Some cedar, slight vanilla and faint cacao edge to it.
Surprisingly complex and comcentrated for price point, nice easy going wine for Friday evening.
£17.60, decent.
