Like the love child between Albariño and a citra hops IPA (hazy and all). Your IPA-only buddies will join our cult, this is the gateway 😜
Fragrant chamomile flower, lychee, grapefruit (minus any bitterness), orange blossom honey on the nose.
Sharp palate with heft in the body. Our old friend citra hops show up (so interesting), lemon juice.
I know from the 2022 I had a couple years ago it gets better on day two – it should open up more tropical fruit notes – but it’s so tasty on day one I want to polish the bottle (is that a thing?)
Lovely paired with a roast pork tenderloin (marinated in miso, soy sauce, dijon, garlic, rosemary, lemon and EVOO- chat GPT recipe!), cauliflower puree, roasted cherry tomatoes and sautéed dandelion greens. Yum.
amboandy
Albariño is my go-to wine for whites currently. Admittedly, I was huge into NZ sauv in the late 00’s so it scratches that ‘big and bold’ itch

Creeping up fast in price but hmm, so tasty.

Albariño is always the correct choice!
