These all work about the same. In my opinion, they all fail because they put the buttons on the wrong portion of the opener. If they put the “engage” button down at the bottom you could hold both the corkscrew and the bottle with one hand. The way they’re usually built, you have to use two hands.
Getting adept with a regular lever pull (waiter’s wine key) isn’t that difficult. Get one that has the two articulations and it isn’t that rough.
I used one of these at a relative’s house a few times. It worked ok. Press the button one way and it drives the corkscrew in and eventually pulls the cork out of the bottle and up into the opener. Once the cork removed, press the button the other way and the cork is spit out of the opener.
you can’t figure out how to pull out a cork?
Just learn how to open a bottle normally. Buy a few garbage $5 Trader Joes wines to practice
You do not need an electric wine opener for any reason. You do not need any bullcrap with wings or gizmos.
You need a waiter’s friend corkscrew and maybe an Ah So if you drink a lot of old bottles. Period.
Get the bottle opener with the wings if you need something easier to use. These openers are fine but do a terrible job on any older cork.
