Are these curtains too short?

For my preference, yes. I would widen the rod and lower it a bit or find some nice curtain rings to add a couple of inches.

Eta: My experience has been that if you feel like they’re too short, you’ll think that often when you look at them. I tried to make curtains at a similar length work because you can reasonably argue that functionally the shorter length is better, but once I lowered the rod, I felt mentally better about them.

No. Especially if you have pets or prefer mopping without having to tie them up each time. I raised mine to this height because having them touch the floor gets old fast. As long as they are not higher than the baseboards, you are fine 🙂

Yeah those look good. I know a lot of design advice says to have them touch the floor – but honestly that’s advice for people with professional weekly cleaners, no dogs and no children.

They are less likely to collect dust and get worn from the friction with the floor when there’s a tiny gap there.

My dog managed to step on a curtain that was just kissing the floor and pulled half the curtain rail down.

You had to crouch down and change angles to show is they aren’t touching the floor. So it’s barely even short. It looks great and really practical at the same time.

They are perfect..no need to change

Yes, too short. I would get the smallest diameter curtain ring with clips that will fit your rod and attach the curtains that way. It will add the inch or two that you need.

Yes too short, you can tell they weren’t fitted for the height of the wall

  7. A tiny bit .

How long is the hem ? Can you unhem them ?

I have to have my curtains this short due to our robovac.
