I ripped up the carpet in our living room to find this satillo tile underneath, which I restored and I love it! But, the tile does not reach the edge of the room. The owners before us put a thin wood transition piece (see photos) over part of the concrete subfloor that worked as a transition piece when there was carpet here, but it’s too narrow to cover the entire exposed concrete. I really don’t want to put down more satillo tile due to the grunt work it would require to level the floor out first. I thought about adding little white mosaic tiles, and also thought about adding white picket tile, but I didn’t like it and I thought it clashed with the satillo tile. I also thought about just buying a larger wood transition piece, but I feel like it would look too bulky. Please help! It’s driving me crazy.

What about a border tile, like something with a pattern? Rosette or floral mosaic type?
Can you find a few additional wooden planks to match up with the existing transition piece? I feel like that would look cohesive and keep it from having four different floor types in a short span
If I had that concrete, I’d probably paint it with patio paint. Personally, I’d do a cool sage green on that strip or a deep rust color to match the adjacent tile. My husband, however, would make it guava pink or bright teal. I have a colorful husband.
You’re definitely right that the white won’t work. Decorative Spanish tile or a wider wood strip, I think.
A big golden coloured strip
