Just finished adding wall panelling and mounting the TV. The sofas will be opposite this wall and the room will have a neutral / modern look with a rug and coffee table.
Right now the wall feels a little empty and I’m trying to decide what would elevate it without making it look cluttered. On the opposite wall, I also have lighting on the side panels.
I’m considering things like:
• LED backlighting behind the TV
• A floating media console under the TV or standing tv unit?
• Wall lights or sconces inside the panels
• Decorative pieces or shelving
Any suggestions?

Only the console under the tv. Nothing else. There are already too many lines going on because of the molding. I wouldn’t add anything unless you like plants. A plant would be okay.
Ugh, I would take off that trim stuff stuck on the walls. That is already over. If you want that trim stuff, lose the TV altogether.
A tv you don’t need to sit on top of your fridge to view comfortably, with maybe a low & wide console stand underneath for balance.
Also chiming in to say just a console. It’s a lovely interesting wall it doesn’t need anything else.
The first thing I would do is get a flat mount. The tv is hanging out and crooked and looks like it’s about to fall. Then I’d lower it to cut the horizontal moulding by at least two inches. The bottom of the tv is too close to the trim. Either move it up or drop it down.
Then I’d add a couple sconces. Finally, some furniture and some plants. Oh, and crown moulding.
Tv is definitely too high. It needs to be at eye level when you sit on the couch. I think it would be nice if it were centered on the moulding. Floating console is a nice idea, maybe a small decorative chair or dresser with a plant or something next to it?
Yes a media cabinet but also maybe extend the center trim down to the bottom, in line with the horizontal trim on the smaller sections. You can also add scones and a plant maybe. Personally I think the LED is too modern for the way you’ve designed this room
