I currently rent a house that has a somewhat awkward and haphazard wooden accent wall in the main bedroom (see pictures of what I currently have). I am considering putting my bed up against that wall, but it will have to be off center to accommodate the dresser on one side of the room, is this okay? Is it better to center art on the bed or on the wall?

We’re leaning more towards a cozy organic eclectic vibe. Our comforter is a sage linen. I have a bunch of post cards from national parks that I would like to incorporate as well if possible on the wall. There will be lots of walnut and maple wood in the room too if that info helps. I can probably put floating shelves on the walls without causing too much damage, so I’m thinking of doing some of those and putting plants on them. What is the best way to decorate this wall to create a nice cozy vibe? What kind of floor lamps would look good in here too?

  1. 1. Put the dresser on the oppressor wall if possible (not window)
    2. Centre the bed within the vertical wood designs.
    3. One large art piece would look better than a gallery on this specific wall.
    4. Evenly spaced floating shelves with plants on the would look lovely.

Honestly? Get rid of most of the stuff in the room. The wall is lovely by itself. The plant adds nothing and the chest of drawers is blocking the window. Headboard against the feature wall, chest of drawers where the headboard is currently and get rid of the plant box. Some of the art can move to the wall but be sparing.

Oh boy. This is a tough one. Maybe a large southwestern tapestry
