I found this bottle lurking in the back of my wine cellar forgotten and forlorn. I was expecting to have to make this into wine vinegar.
Popped the cork which was surprisingly intact.
Boy was I pleasantly surprised. Nose of subtle violets and hints of tobacco. Medium to dark purple with a slight brown rim. Medium bodied. Velvety tannins. Fresh crisp backbone of acidity. The fruit was still present but way in the background. Monte’s if leather, plum and stone fruit.
Moderate finish.
92 points.

Blown away by the notes, I honestly thought this would have been a bit more shite tbh. So happy this was a stunner. Cheers!
