I’m looking to buy my first home and this house has a very nice/interesting room that I have no idea what to do with if I were to buy it! Please give any ideas!

This would be gorgeous as an indoor jungle/plant room with comfy chairs, books and just make it a green, serene space

An orangery! (Without really growing oranges)

I’d leave the wood panelling and ceilings alone.

Id try to figure out what the gravel pit on the right was used for before removing it.

New floors would be on my list but not sure if you want to do that much work or if it’s in budget. Add a large rug to make it cozier.

Is there a living room somewhere else in the home? Does the space heater (?) work? Maybe this could become a library or office.

I understand you haven’t purchased yet. Just some things to think about.

Your name says chef? Maybe a chefs studio for photography of your food and hosting your pals

Whatever you do with this space will be perfect- it’s a gorgeous room

If you work from home i’d make it an office. If not a separate family room/chill room. So TV couch etc.
I’ve seen some people turn spaces like this into a “game room” so tv with couches and game systems for their kids.

I’m digging this space! Was that a fountain wall? Gas burning firepit?

Omg. I am obsessed with this room!!!!

If money and function weren’t a factor, that hexagon(?)-shaped room would be so cool as a custom sized conversation pit type seating. Put canopy-bed style drapery, or even just regular curtains, around it.

Warm warm warm lighting,, have you seen the stained glass light bulbs??

I really like the wood paneling on the wall.

Make the wall and rock pit thing on the right a waterfall. OR a fire place type thing.

On a serious note, all I can think is hang out room!!!!

I should note I believe the previous owners had plants in the gravel to the left and there’s a small water spigot (with a fish nozzle lol) off to the right out of frame
