Have you considered bringing in some prints? A check or light floral curtain would be a great replacement to plastic blinds. Could also tie in with a cover for your bench cushion or added pillows to make that area more cozy! I would also consider upgrading the light fixture since it is such a focal point!

If it were mine, I’d center the little cabinet under the painting and find an interesting light fixture on FB marketplace or Craigslist. The one that’s there looks like Home Depot, which is okay but not fun.

Replace the light fixture with something textured and/or wood or rattan, move out the table, maybe hang the plants in front of the window (get them off the table), update the art to something with more color and maybe texture.
