I'd like to get a new ottoman for our living room. The current brown one was part of another couch set and it's a big eye sore for me due to the color. Should I get round, square, or rectangular? Tufted? Leather? And which color works best with the room?
We have two crazy kids who'll launch themselves off furnitures so I'd rather get an ottoman vs. a coffee table with sharp edges.

Could you find a fabric you love and recover your ottoman? Shame to spend a lot of money on a new one when you’re able to make this one beautiful.
I like the suggestion of reupholstering the one you have, you could get a really fun pattern too. Maybe stay away from stripes though since there’s enough of that with the art and rug.
If you don’t like that idea it looks like a snug walk to get to the actual seating of the couch so if you want something totally new don’t go bigger. Maybe a couple of poufs would work. Idk where you live and what your budget is but I think World Market has really pretty ones I’ve been coveting for myself.
