This will be our primary, casual living space. We have an area downstairs for a more formal living space, so the goal of this is to be able to comfortably watch movies, have people over to watch a football game, hang out while I'm cooking, etc. Casual, chic, and comfortable.. I don't want to veer towards lazy or slobbish.
The thing I need the most help with is the placement of the furniture, specifically the couch and TV. I'd love to have a big L-shaped couch, but my brain needs help making it make sense with the weird divet half-wall thing. Then we'll need at least another chair or two of some sort, right? or a loveseat? See where I start to go nuts, lol.
This photo was taken from the kitchen island, which now has white chair/stools, and the kitchen itself has white cabinets. Also, yes, we're replacing the entryway light back there (I hate it!)
TLDR; where should I put a couch and TV? I'd prefer to have an L-shaped if it makes sense.
