Entry level wine from their expansion project in the Mâconnais. Biodynamic, from vineyards they either own or long term lease. Had this with parmesan and lemon risotto and a veal roast.

Pop and pour.

On the nose, lemons and white ripe fruit. Nice subtle oak, clear stone minerality and a hint of something green. My wife says it smells like freshly harvested slightly underdeveloped rhubarb.

On the palate it follows through nicely. Good minerality and a slightly salty finish. Medium acidity, lovely mouthfeel. Fruit, oak and acidity feel well balanced.

It is fun to drink such a famous producer at this level, and it is definitely a good wine. That said, I would not call it extraordinary compared to other Mâconnais producers I have tried.
