So we live in a pretty unique space that we love BUT it has made it extremely difficult to decorate.
Is there anyway that I could hang curtains here with the corner of the window cut off?
We can drill into the staircase structure but we cannot move it.
Thoughts? Prayers? Help!!!

I am just a lurker and I’m not sure if this is a good idea, but I would get a curtain rod and cut off one of the end caps so it doesn’t have a definitive end. I would put that cut end directly and flatly against the underside of the staircase. I would hang some nice curtains (no grommets) and add a hook at elbow height on the left wall to pull the curtains to the left while they’re open to frame the window. It would probably look funny closed but it doesn’t look like you need much privacy.
You just want curtains for the visual appeal right? You have a work of art right outside!

If you have any room to put a curtain rod and hook behind the step support that would potentially allow some kind of drapes to go at least to the upright white door trim (you would be moving the cord/chain hanger to make this work, probably to the drywall at left.
If not, your solution in place of the pulldown shade may be it.
