This is my tiny 5 x 7 bathroom. I'd like to paint the ceiling a color that will help the room feel bigger. I'm also open to painting the door. But I'm stuck on what color. The tub is ivory and the fixtures and tiles are all white/black. I have a large mirrored medicine cabinet that will end up reflecting the ceiling. The track you see is for the shower curtain and can be painted, as well. Please excuse the clutter and the crooked wall outlet. thank you for any ideas!

Also consider painting the door frame too as the white of the frame clashes with the white of the tile.

Are all your other accents purple-ish in the bathroom? If yes, I think a very soft lavender could work, especially with the rest of the room being black and white

Paint the ceiling in a darker shade than your rugs’ purple, the darker shade will look pretty and will “push back” the ceiing. Then you could also paint the door and trim- both would work in a semi-gloss or satin for a humid area. The color Grape Harvest would likely work well there. I think sky blue on ceiling. IMO

I don’t think a colored ceiling would stretch the room. The room doesn’t need more baked in contrast. It needs less.

The small wall above the towel shelf could be a place for something peaceful to draw the eye up more. A nice light colored solid shower curtain.

I’d paper the side of the vanity to match the front.
