  1. Patland Estate Vineyards D’Oro 2015, Napa Valley

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Beautiful nose of black currants, blackberries, black plums, cooked cherries, dried fruits, sweet figs, raisins, Indian spices, cedar, vanilla, chocolates, light peppercorn and herbs.

Full-bodied and elegant with high acidity.

Sweet on the palate with blackberries, black plums, raisins, dried figs, vanilla, cedar, cola, cooked cherries, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices, light earth and peppercorn.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 11 year fortified wine from Napa Valley is drinking beautifully now. Rich, extracted and complex. Showing good balance with a great mouthfeel.

Good right out of the bottle, and better with some air time, when the beautiful nose shows up.

A great dessert wine to sip on by itself.

100% Petite Sirah grapes were aged in French oak barrels for 20 months. A small production of less than 2,200 bottles.

    20% alcohol by volume.

    94 points.

    $80 (375ml).
