Any tips welcome. I bought a beautiful shaggy rug during winter that is perfect in low light/cozy evenings )picture 1) Now it’s spring, when I open the windows for natural light the rug feels off (picture 2)
To me it looks nice! Perhaps you just need some sheer, floaty long curtains or something to tie it all in a bit more. Mine are from the ceiling right down to the floor. P.S. Picture 2 is already a massive improvement over pic 1 👍

Perhaps a coffee table to break things up? I don’t personally love the rug and think that you could do better, but if you love it then a coffee table and some curtains might cozy up the space even more. Also, your tv is way too high.

the textures are clashing. the soft light was subduing everything but daylight is making them pop.
you can try sheer curtains to make the light more diffused, remove the tassles of the carpet, adding a bigger coffee table with a glass top, plants with big glossy leaves
