This might be a tall order for one single post but I've moved a lot of new furniture into my apartment but am finding it's not working. Predominantly, as there's an earthy-vibe going on and the walls look a lot more swampy than when I viewed the space.
My main issues are:
What colour I should paint the walls to neutralise the space while making it feel really contemporary
Whether I get a large book/shelf for the back wall (ie; build up via furniture), or just get a buffet sideboard and fill the wall with art instead?
How to fill the space to the right of the couch.
What kind of material I should look for in a cabinet for the nook to the left of the TV (More wood? metal? other?)
The colour swatches of paint are where I'm kind of thinking, as it's an east facing room and gets a lot of morning light.
Also, the heinous overhead lampshade will be removed too 😂
