We recently brought this brown leather couch and I now realize that it is too big for this space. However, I have to make it work. I will be re-arranging the rug so that all furniture is on it. My main issue is that the blue couch isn’t centered under the window like I wanted it to be. If I put a couple of white framed pieces of art in the red marked area, could that make it look like they are part of a grouping with the window and make it more symmetric? I’m also thinking of moving the tall shelving unit over to the corner behind the brown couch

Yes — white frames there will help balance the window and make it feel intentional. Keep them uniform and neatly stacked.

And yes, move the tall shelf to the corner behind the brown couch — it’ll balance the heavier side better. You can definitely fix this without replacing anything.

I would make sure art on BOTH sides are about the same size. And yeah move the shelving unit out of view into other corner. It’s feeling real crowded right now 😥 I also think you need a much bigger area rug. [It’s not anchoring your room.](https://www.instagram.com/reel/DVHByvzidBJ/?igsh=MTJicjByY3lxa2N1Nw==) I know you said you were gonna move it so the furniture is on it but it seems too small to achieve the chic look of ALL legs on the rug or at least all the front legs very comfortably.
