Big, wet petrol aroma right out of the gate that made me want to keep swirling. Underneath that, some beeswax and a touch of honeysuckle adding a bit of texture on the nose.
On the palate, it’s driven by sharp, focused acidity balanced by orchard fruit. The finish is long — easily 15+ seconds — with a mouth-watering, mother-puckering lime zest character.
As it warmed in the glass, the citrus really came to the forefront. The lime and bright citrus oils became more prominent, and the wine felt even more expressive with a little air and temperature.
Very much in that high-tension, citrus-driven Finger Lakes style.
