I’m dealing with a shower water containment issue and hoping for some practical suggestions.
The shower has a fixed glass panel that’s shorter than ideal, so water escapes during every shower — both directly from the spray and from splashback off my body. The floor outside the shower gets noticeably wet each time.
Right now I’m using a bath mat, but it gets soaked quickly and starts to smell, so that’s not a long-term solution.
Constraints:
• I do NOT want to replace or extend the existing glass panel
• No major construction or tile work
• Open to spending a reasonable amount if the solution looks clean and intentional
I’m looking for something DIY-friendly or add-on based (e.g., seals, splash guards, deflectors, etc.) that actually works and doesn’t look cheap or temporary.
Has anyone solved a similar issue? What worked for you?
