My husband and I re buying this house! Here is the current kitchen. I don’t want to change the cabinets or layout at this point, just update the countertops, wall color and backsplash in the future. Any ideas?! I love pics for inspo! Thanks 🙂

I would change the paint on the walls before I made any other decisions. It’s distracting lol
Soapstone. But honestly this looks really nice overall even if the tops are a bit dated. I’d keep it a while until you’re ready for a bigger update.
Take pics and use Sherwin William app. They have great wall color recommendations. The current paint is not the right color.
I personally would go for a warm white – maybe Alabaster. You have beautiful cabinets, floor and countertop. I would change cabinet hardware, and at some point, new stainless fridge (when your current ones goes out).
For backsplash, since you already have marble boarder, not sure how additional backsplash would work. Maybe install under counter top lighting?
I would focus on minor upgrades, and live in your beautiful space a bit more. New paint is the key.
I also might think about getting rid of the rounded door, too much of Tuscan vibe.
New light over dining table.
Possibly remove the cabinet piece over the sink. Install a beautiful drop down light over sink.
Microwave needs to go in appliance garage, and also fix/get rid of microwave shelf.
The paint is what’s throwing you off. ITA with the others …paint, and enjoy the space. Those cabinets are beautiful!!!

I would think about ripping out a few cabinets from microwave to frig. Maybe open shelving, or glass front cabinets. Essentially over the sink area looks very dated. You could hang a beautiful light over the sink.
Redo rounded door into a regular door.
I love your countertops, and with the marble border, not sure a new backsplash will work.
