I am finally back in my own place after five years. I would love some suggestions.
Things I hate:
* Every other wall is brick, so hanging stuff has to be more strategic.
* I don’t have many outlets and most aren’t even 3 prong.
* I don’t love the new gray couch, so I’m using my old blue one to add color but I’m really looking for the new right couch cover.
* I don’t love the glass front cabinet because I have a toddler and it’s just asking to get broken.
To dos:
* I live in AZ and any day now will become hot. So, I will be adding white “black out” curtains for under the blush lace curtains and add another set or two of panels to add fullness.
* My friend gave me the rug but I want something checkered or more fun.
* Add gallery wall above the couch. I’ve been finding cute frames at thrift stores.
* I was thinking about doing another gallery wall but more of an altar of loved ones who have passed on. And a console where the cabinet is.
* Add a chest for all the toys.
* Coat closet is getting a new curtain but I haven’t found one I like.
Any ideas other than more greenery? I’m not opposed to painting.

I like the cozy feel and the colors.
In most pictures, I feel rooms usually need softer textures. In your case, it’s ALL soft textures: curtains, blankets, throw pillows, rugs, more curtains for what I’m guessing is a closet. The wood pieces don’t seem to really do much to anchor the space.
Can you use Command strips on painted brick?
Your tv is too high and I like your rocker
The curtains look like cheap lingerie. I think you should get some proper fabric curtains. Remove the clock and just some art up

Might be worth a shot.
Too much clutter, too many patterns, so very little cohesion. The end tables and lamps look like bedside tables.
First of all, congrats on being back in your own place 🤍
With so many brick walls, I’d suggest wallpapering at least one wall (maybe behind the couch or where the new console will go). A warm, subtle pattern could add a lot of personality without needing to hang a ton of things and make it a beautiful focal point.
For the glass cabinet, you could use a frosted film to make it safer and visually calmer.
I really think one statement wallpaper wall would instantly make the space feel more finished and intentionally designed
