Opened this lovely bottle after Team USA beat Canada for Gold in Men’s hockey. Decanted for about 1.5 hours and slow sipped. Wow this tasted good.
Nose: a beautiful perfumed bottle of dark fruits, clove and cedar.
Palate: Note of black cherry, black currants,
milk chocolate, cigar, pencil and spice with and a long finish, good tannins.
abv 14.4%
Really great qpr of $40 but procured for $20 😁
WE rated this 90pts, but it drinks comfortably along side all the Napa/Sonoma heavyweights with grace. Definitely plan to acquire more.
