It definitely needs something to anchor the fireplace. Unfortunately, the tv has to go over it because there is no other place for it to go. I may demo those two shelving units because they’re too deep and they stick out too much into the living space. I can’t do built ins because it’s an outside wall but I can do 12” deep cabinet/shelving units on each side. Any ideas?

Those shelves are built ins?? What happened here?
If you’re planning to remove the built-ins anyway, then maybe build something new that can hold a tv on the right side at the proper eye-level height?
