Hello! I’m renovating my kitchen for the first time and would like to do a checkerboard pattern for the floor tile. It’s an inherited home, so a lot of original hardwood and browns throughout the house.
Four potential colour pairings (visualized using photo generation) for the diamond checkerboard pattern. Kitchen reno will be a full redo, so the cabinets are not up yet.
Which pairing is your favourite?
In case AI alters tone of the colours, I’ve also attached photos of the tile samples themselves as some are similar.
(Since the images were generated using a software, I suggest not looking at details outside of the flooring lol – especially ignore the backsplash, I was just playing around with prompts)
I appreciate all opinions!

It all depends on other things. I would not recommend that style unless you have a period style kitchen with appropriate cabinetry and architecture.
I assume you have some inspo pics and would ask how close to your inspo pics are the rest of the elements of the kitchen.
TAUPE Matt is pretty
Maria Killam has a blog with tons of great color advice. She sells a tool called the neutral color wheel. I highly recommend it. Neutrals are really easy to get wrong and the tool is really helpful. It can help you identify undertones in what you currently have so that you can make sure what you buy has the same undertone.
