I have these tiles that are about 30 years old and have suffered the ravages of time. How can I restore their color? Everything I see online says to clean them with vinegar, but the problem isn't dirt or grease; it's that the color has faded.

I think just embracing them as they are would be fine – let them look their vintage age. They honestly do not look bad at all. Besides which, a refresh with tile paint while doable would be a long process… and only if you have a steady hand. I think they are sweet and characterful even slightly faded.
